One thing at a time! Well it’s been over a year since I wanted to start animating again…and now that I have a compatible camera to animate with, I thought I would start out by building a new animation stand. It’s made out of an abandoned shelf. I’ve had many annoying moments putting this thing together and I cursed many times how this kind of thing needs a control Z function. I plan to finish it this weekend. Oh ya, this is all taking place in an abandoned apartment. Spooky times.
As I’m finally getting my site together, in a pretty painless why I can finally start sharing my videos. My home movies link to the right take you to my YouTube page where I will post my personal videos. These are basically photo albums and gives me the chance to keep my final cut editing up to par.
I was very happy to get this email from Superpunch today!
Dear John Struan (superpunch),
I’ve had about a thousand emails this morning pointing me to the utterly amazing art riffing off my books that you organised and hosted. I wanted to tell you how astonished and enormously honoured I am that you did this, and at all the artists’ amazing work. I want to thank you, and all the artists involved, absolutely boundlessly and profusely. I’m really overwhelmed.
I was invited to do some art for a China Mieville tribute post over at Superpunch! Here is my submission of Obaday from Un Lun Dun. I thought he was a great character. Click on the image to see the rest of the art!
