I woke up in 1978 to a flat land of desert and wind. Much like Luke on Tattooine, I yearned for a bigger life, bigger world, and to refine my skills with the force…of ART! My artistic talents have been a huge part of my entire life, writing and illustrating my own books since the first grade. Sculpting and Painting through Jr. High and producing short films, animations, and writing graphic novels in High School.
After High School, I started taking animation classes, life drawing classes, and read many tutorial books for various computer programs. Then I went to UC Santa Barbara’s film school and brought my artist skills into motion.
Although I never took any of this stuff seriously it became obvious to me that I was a talented artist and now I’m all grown up and it’s time for me to make a living. Freelance has been the way to go until I can establish myself into a “real job” But at this rate, I may not need one.
I am still considering whether or not I should go to art school for an MA because teaching is my real passion, but no one wants to learn from a guy who hasn’t been around. In the mean time I am working, meeting other artists and saving up to travel the art universe.
